2+ Slaughter Saves

Because of YOUR help, Saving Baby Equine Charity provided a grant to assist the Gaited Advocate Intervention Team, Inc. (GAIT) of Maryland with expenses for intercepting Pie, a 12-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse in FOAL and her best friend, Estrella, a late yearling, from going to slaughter.  They were part of a loose lot of horses at a Knoxville, TN auction. Denise Parsons tells us that they will be kept together to lower stress for both since neither can be adopted yet with Estrella too young to be ridden and Pie being pregnant. Enjoy the separate pictures of young Estrella and pregnant Pie and then of the two friends sharing their hay with each other. You know what good friends they are!
