Hadrians Empress

TB Racehorse

YOU helped this former racehorse, Hadrians Empress! Thank you! This Thoroughbred mare had eight owners on her Jockey Club papers alone (how many more didn’t bother signing the papers when she left racing?) and she was only ten years of age. She was rescued by Colorado Horse Rescue Network in poor condition earlier this year. Despite her bad condition, she was pregnant and foaled a filly in April of this year. This poor mare had signs of previous laminitis, multiple abscesses and acute prolapsed soles of her front feet. The rescue’s veterinarian and farrier both recommended 6 - 8 months of intense hoof care. Where are her racing connections? Who bred her in 2013 and neglected her? She walks the earth due to her own breeder: Michele Anne Boyer and her last racing owner was Chad K. Story, last racing owner was Chad Story. Abandoned after only 11 racing starts in her two year “career”. Colorado Horse Rescue Network renamed her Bree and reached out with a request for funds for a pair of special boots to ease her pain and recovery. Thank YOU for supporting our Saving Baby Equine Charity through donations or through the purchase of the book Saving Baby — How One Woman’s Love for a Racehorse Led to Her Redemption as a portion of book sales also help fund the rescue. YOUR support allows us to help in such emergency situations.
