Young mare, saved from slaughter
Once again, Saving Baby Equine Charity teamed up with another non-profit equine rescue to save a horse headed for slaughter! Another Chance Equine Rescue (ACE Rescue) put out a Face Book plea for a beautiful 10-year-old Haflinger mare that was shipping to slaughter if funds to purchase her could not be raised. We responded within minutes of the appeal. In a matter of just hours, her timely acquisition was completed and her transport to ACE Rescue was arranged.
Thanks to your support, Saving Baby Equine Charity can be ready in a moment’s notice to assist with preventing horses from shipping to slaughter, then bringing them to the safety of a reputable rescue! All of YOU saved this precious mare! YOUR donations are making an immediate difference in the lives of horses across the nation!
Thank you ACE Rescue and Saving Baby Equine Charity supporters!
This lovely mare has been named Hope...and Hope might be in foal! After her 30-day quarantine, she will be palpated to see if she is indeed carrying a foal. Be sure to come back for the big reveal!
Hope is NOT in foal, but there's great news to share!...the pretty Haflinger mare has been adopted! Hope will stay at Another Chance Equine Rescue for the winter where she will get a "tune-up" in her ground manners and under saddle, then she will go to her new family in the spring! What a heart-warming true story—from being a hair's breath away from shipping to slaughter to a loving, forever family!
Here she is! Yet to be named, this stunning "Haffie" mare is safe at ACE Rescue!
Hope and her "mom."
