Racehorse Saved from Slaughter - PA

In June 2016, NEER North, a horse rescue in Massachusetts, attended the notorious Pennsylvania New Holland Auction intending to save from the kill pen as many horses as they could. Saving Baby Equine Charity provided funds to help them and they saved this unknown gelding, a former racehorse, from being discarded for slaughter. No matter that he tried his best at the race track, he was discarded for pennies on the pound on the day horses are auctioned for slaughter at this infamous auction. Attempts are being made to identify this racing cast off through his Jockey Club registered tattoo.
